PicnicIt’s the mid-1950’s in a small Kansas town on Labor Day weekend in the joint backyards of two middle-aged widows: Flo Owens, and Helen Potts. Hal, a drifter, comes into town to visit his college buddy and becomes involved with his girlfriend, Madge. Hal’s arrival seriously upsets the entire group, including the spinster, Rosemary and her boyfriend, Howard.
